The Cambridge Bar Hillclub is part of the English Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA) which celebrates its 30th Anniversary this year 2009. The club instrcutor is Jeff Rand 3rd Dan who has been involved in Karate for 30 years. He is a senior instrcutor and association examinerand he and his instructors arefully insured and CRB checked as necessary. The association is very active throughout the yearrunning courses, competitions and social events.This year courses with Shinji Akita (Kata) and Wayne Otto, OBE the 9 times world Kumite Champion were a great success.Gradings take place every three months and club members areencouraged to work towards the Spirit and Progress Trophies. Our mainDojo trains every Thursday evening at Cottenham Village College, Cambridgshire. We are currently working towards our Club Mark accreditation. Your first training session is free of charge and we are currently offering the next four beginners training sessions, license, insurance and a Karate suit (GI) at a cost of 25.00.
