Dragons academy offers a fully equipped martial arts training centre. Situated near Derby town centre ,we offer a 1500 sq ft matted training area, numerous punch & kick bags ofdifferent size and weight, 12 ft boxing ring, enough thai and kick pads for the whole class to use,skipping ropes,sparring equipment etc. The academy is widely known for its unique training in K1 style kickboxing where we train to use thai boxing as well as kickboxing techniques.
The clubs head instructor is Mr Stefan Rowland 4th dan blackbelt in kickboxing, 1st dan Blackbelt inBri-thai, 3rd deg blackbelt in Tae kwon-do. He is also W.K.A English national heavyweight full contact champion& International fightsport champion.His team of istructors are Mr Ian Lowe-2nd Dan blackbelt , assistant inst& "Team Dragons" coach,Miss Kelly Day, 2nd Dan Blackbelt and two times ladies English champion & also ladies european champion, Mr Dean Mayes 1st Dan Blackbelt & jumior instructor.
