After 32 years of membership and service to the Ishinryu Karate Association, we, Philip Francis 6th Dan and Helen Pree 6th Dan,
decided to move forward in our pursuit to develop our respective clubs
and, therefore, together have formed in April 2009 a new association, Shoujin Karate Kai to which you, the students, will be affiliated.
Shoujin consists of a number of clubs based in Barking, Newham, East London, North London, Maidstone, Sharnbrook, Hornchurch and Cranham.
Its ambition is to produce excellent Karate-ka at all levels, from
beginner to elite athlete, inclusion for all regardless of race, colour,
gender, religion and physical ability.
