The Yushikai Karate Academy was established in 1994, starting in various halls around the area, until it made Radford Crescent in Billericay its permanent training base in 2008.We are dedicated to making your martial arts experience both enjoyable and educational and have produced many Black Belts and National Champions. Our Chief Instructor has studied and trained for many years and was graded to 4th Dan at the headquarters of the Japan Karate Association (JKA) in Tokyo.
We will help you acquire effective self-defence skills and at the same time we provide a comprehensive programme for personal development. Although we honour centuries-old martial arts traditions, we are not static. We constantly seek new and innovative ways to enthuse and excite our students. The Academy has hosted many high profile visitors, including Japanese Instructors, such as Senseis Ohta (who teaches here regularly and conducts our in-house kyu grading examinations) and Hirayama.We are also involved with serving our local community. In addition to operating classes 7 days a week from our full time dojo, we teach weekly at Sunnymede Infants and Junior Schools, Brightside Primary School, Quilters Primary School and South Green Infant School.Your best interests are always uppermost in our minds and our instructors are always ready to help you in any way during your training.
