People come to the UK Shaolin Temple from all around the world to learn and grow from traditional Shaolin Kung Fu (gong fu) training. Students follow Shi fu's guidance and discipline whilst training in Shaolin gong fu. Many students train very hard and are very disciplined. While some students seek to build better health and create a feeling of well-being, others may train for self-defense (San Shou) or flexibility. However there is a singular concept, Shaolin gong fu training and Chan Philosophy are one and the same.
