The founder of Uchi Naru Chikara Martial Arts club is Dean Radmore who holds a 3rd Dan in Wado Ryu Karate under Shi Zen Do Martial Arts Association and Shi Kon Martial Arts Association and is currently training in Ju Jitsu under the Kyushin Ryu Ju Jitsu Association.
Childrens classes are based on traditional methods and training with modern influence, promoting a safe, friendly environment for the student to develop the skills and etiquette required. Childrens classes are welcoming, fun & energetic but are designed to promote self-discipline, self-confidence, self-control and the drive to succeed using basics, forms (kata) and controlled pairs work.
They are also a good place for children to meet like minded friends and attain a good level of fitness. Adults classes consist of boxing & kicking techniques (Renkai) as well as pre-arranged pairs work (Kumite) in conjunction with forms (Kata). Within the system the adult will be developing striking, manipulation, immobilisation, grappling, throwing and groundwork.
The physical aims of Kata training are to strengthen the bones, muscles and ligaments to maximise the efficiency to develop fast reflexes and movements, increasing the ability to respond quickly in a self-defence situation. Strategic skills are also studied to gain the advantage over an opponent both on a physical and mental level.
For more information please visit the Uchi Naru Chikara website www.chikara-do.co.uk or telephone Sensei Dean Radmore on 07920556784.
