Positive Start Programme Black Belt Excellence starts here! The Positive Start programme is a dedicated beginners class that will successfully introduce you to the Martial Art of Tang Soo Do, improving your confidence, fitness, discipline and self-defence skills. While it is never too late to learn, the sooner someone begins the learning process the better. The course consists of the following :- We promote non-violent resolutions to conflict, helping students understand and avoid conflict through role-play. Students of all ages learn confidence, self-discipline and control. Our younger students are treated with the same respect as the adults and are taught to return that respect to others. We believe in praise, encouragement and positive reinforcement, with incentives for good school reports. We teach the value of setting goals and working to achieve them. You will become fitter, stronger and healthier. You can study with like-minded individuals & families, in beginner only classes. Theres a flexible timetable offering classes Monday to Saturday. Learn an authentic Martial Art, starting with the basics - Stances, Blocks, Kicks, Strikes and Self-Defence. We have a physical conditioning programme to improve muscular strength, flexibility, fitness, balance and co-ordination. Life skills curriculum - Goal Setting, Confidence and a Black-Belt Attitude, and for younger members Stranger Awareness, Bullying, Health and Nutrition as well as many other life skills. You will earn first 2 coloured belts towards becoming a BLACKBELT. Rank certification insurance and membership provided by the Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation of Great Britain. Children earn merit badges for extra motivation & reward/recognition of their achievements.
