The headquarters of the Associationis a full time dojo, with classes every day.

Besides Aikido and Iaido there are classes in sword and stick techniques, Zazen (seated meditation), Kototama (chanting) and Spiritual Development. There are also special weekend courses periodically throughout the year.

THE KOMYOKAN AIKIDO ASSOCIATION
The KAA WAS formed in September 1999, with Dojos spread from the south of England to the Highlands of Scotland. The Senior Instructor of the KAA is Terry Ezra, 6th Dan, whose full-time Dojo in Birkenhead, Merseyside is the Headquarters of the organisation. Terry Ezra was promoted to Shihan in January by the Hombu Dojo in Japan.
The KAA is a member of the British Aikido Board. The BAB is the Sports Councils official, recognised body for Aikido and has its own structure for levels of Coaching Awards. Ezra Sensei and many of the KAA Instructors hold BAB Coaching certificates at various levels Ezra Sensei is acknowledged as one of the BABs Senior Coaches.
Before the formation of the KAA Ezra Sensei had been in the British Aikido Federation since its start in 1968. He was on the BAFs National Committee for 20 years and the Senior Instructor and Chairman for that organisation for over a decade.
We are proud to have the group of seven Founding Dojos, including two privately owned dojos (one of which is the full-time Headquarters) plus a club in the University of Surrey. Under Ezra Senseis leadership there is also a wealth of Aikido experience shared by the other Instructors, some of whom have more than twenty years of Aikido training and teaching experience.
The KAA has friendships and connections with many national and international, highly graded and well-respected Aikido Instructors and will maintain and increase these liaisons. The KAA has direct links with the Aikikai Foundation and continues to develop a constructive relationship with them.
