Wudokai Karate was developed & formed in the early 1990's by Karate Instructor, now 4th Dan, Lee Woodcock. Lee Woodcock has studied Martial Arts for approximately 28 years, and back in 1990 was qualified at that time with a 2nd Dan Black belt in both the Arts of Karate, i.e., Wado-Ryu & Shukokai. It was then that Lee decided to create a more combined Art of Karate, namely that of today, called Wudokai, meaning Speed with Force. He took the traditional style of Wado-Ryu, with all its finesse and power, and harnessed the Speed and agility of Shukokai, thus combining the age and decadence of both the aforementioned powerful Martial Arts. All ready previously Crowned the European Champion & Bronze Medallist for Great Britain in 2001, Lee, after taking time out for his working career to Study & Qualify with a Higher National Diploma in Sports Science Psychology and a BHSc Hons Degree in Physiotherapy, Lee will now re-commence his passion for Martial Arts.
His club is soon to be re-opening in the Hyndburn Area of Accrington. Keep this page in Mind to check on the start up times for the commencement of Classes.
