Cyclone Wing Chunhas a very modern approach to its
training regime utilising many elements more commonly seen in Mixed
Martial Arts (MMA) training such as pad work, clinch drills and above
all regular use of live sparring however our roots are firmly set
within the structure and skill base of the Chu Sau Lei Wing Chun System.
All the "traditional" elements of Wing Chun are still there including
the open hand and dummy form aswell as Chi Sau and Gor Sau drills.
We
believe that in order to develop a truely rounded training regime that
addresses the truth of martial arts training it is vital to train and
experience other points of view and to test your systemin anon
compliant arena. Instructors Alex Wright
& Ben Biles have been around and trained with many top instructors
and still train regularly both within and outside of the Wing Chun
sphere. Instructors we have trained with include; Robert Chu (Wing
Chun), Alan Orr (Wing Chun), Dave Elliot (BJJ), Barry Norman (Muay
Thai), Dave Harewood (BJJ), Roger Gracie (BJJ), Mauricio Gomez (BJJ),
Peter Irving (MMA),Eddy Mills(MMA), Lee Mair (MMA), Steve Makin (Judo)
and many more.
