East West Kenpo Karate Schools is part of the LARRY TATUM KENPO KARATE ASSOCIATION LTKKA and is a charter member,it is the only school in the North East of England teaching the Ed Parker System
Mike Ilderton our head instructor is a personal student of Larry Tatum and has trained reguly in the USA Holland and Ireland
He holds a second degree in Kenpo Karate a Third in Wado Ryu and gained a first degree black belt in TAE kWON DO some years ago
East West prides its self on the attention it provides to its younger students and promotes LTKKA KIDS AT RISK PROGRAMME to help young people less fortunate than others Its also fun
For the senior students LTKKA provides logical and practical self defence Following the Ed Parker systems from Yellow Belt to second degree black
East West HAS STRONG Links to other Kenpo organisation , including the English instructors of Paul Mills organisation and Mr Paul Dyes Kenpo , as such there is always a great deal of exchanges of ideas and support We offer a family atmosphere combined with traditional Martial Arts Training
The North Gosforth Club is open Saturday from 10 until 2pm at St Aidans Communnity Centre Gosforth and Wednesdays from 5 until 8-30
Sundays at the same venue from 2pm until 4pm senior grades only
Finchale College just out side Durham City holds classes from 5-30 until 9 each Tuesday and Thursday Seniors only Incorperated in to this class is the BE SAFE WEAPONS AWARENESS PROGRAMME sanctioned by the Home Office
