Many things have been written about karate and the teachings of each different style, also you will hear lots of senseis talking about different ways of doing things and they will nearly all have differing ideas on what is the correct way for a student to deliver a technique, well they are all probably right, if you have been around karate for a long time, (I started in 1972 by the way), you get to understand that as each technique is copied it gets a little lost in translation, or putting it another way its a bit like music everyone knows the tune but we all sing it with different voices.
Taking that idea on board here at Norfolk Karate we look at each student as in individual and and teach them accordingly, yes we do follow a strict syllabus which has to be followed, but we know that not everyone is not going to be able to kick head height or be as fast as a 16 year old athlete, however what we do is bring the very best out of each student at a pace that suits them, that way we know that each lessonis enjoyable and fun, but most of all rewarding for for everyone taking part.
As you can see if you decide to join Norfolk Karate we will be able to lead you on a path to what ever level you aspire to gain, what you have to remember is that its not a race to get a black belt, but a self fulfilling journey that will be both challenging and rewarding, not many sports offer such challenges but even fewer offer such self gratification in knowing that all the study and hard work has paid off.
