Jiriki Karate Club has been active for a number of years having built up a strong group of 50+ students who are actively training. Membership numbers are continuing to increase. Most of the students who walk through our doors have been given the club's information through word of mouth and recommendation. Classes run throughout the week and are structured around the abilities of the group and individual. Classes are friendly and they are disciplined. Students are encouraged to participate in all aspects of Wado Ryu Karate and over time they will become more confident in their abilities, make friends with the other students and will have built up a trust in the club's Instructor. There is a seemingly endless list of benefits from practising any form of martial art. An improvement in fitness, balance, control. co-ordination and concentration should be noticed. With constant practise, hard work and determination, students will learn the skills and techniques enabling them to become more aware of their environment. If there was ever a need, students should also be able to use their skills to avoid, or as a last resort, control aggressive situations. Martial arts will also teach individuals to be polite and respectful to others. We accept both female and male students from 5yrs+
