We study Shindo Jinen Ryu under the guidance of Sensei Simon Oliver. Welcome to the Meiyo - Nottingham - Karate Club website. The term 'Meiyo' (pronounced 'Meh-yo') means 'Honour' or 'Honourable' depending on how it is used in the Japanese language. The club is affiliated to the
JKR-UK, under Sensei Simon Oliver 6th Dan.

All our instructors are DBS checked and all have First Aid qualifications. Our Instructors are recognised by both National and International Governing bodies. Meiyo KC's catchment area is North Nottingham. The dojos have been setup in Bullwel and Carrington to offer the local multi-cultural communities access to train in Karate.

Meiyo KC is a not for profit club. Most of the club training fees generated go straight to the community centres that we use as our Dojos. The aim being to help generate funds for local projects to service the needs of the elderly, disadvantaged and vulnerable in that community. The club instructors are unpaid volunteers.
