This School was founded by our Sifu 10 years ago at the request of Oxford Brookes University.

The "Tao" being a "School of learning" we respect ALL styles of martial arts, not to challenge the teachings or views but to learn from one and another!

Everyone is welcome - no matter what style and level or the lack of martial arts experience

To date, we have 'recruited' 38 various black belts from 5th Dans to complete newcomers all working together in harmony - see "Testimonials"/Black Belts on web site.

The teachings are of a "San Sao" nature, (fighting arts), it is an application biased towards, "What If" attacks in 'normal' situations, where the Sifu will ask 'other styles' to add thier experience to each class situation, thus we all learn alternatives to a given situation.

SOMA is NOT a 'purest school' with a defined 'style' as a dedicated Martial Art would be taught by those 'Teachers'..
