Reaper Gym opened in September 2008 with the aim of offering a variety of martial arts,( including Thai Boxing & Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ) under one roof.We offer tuition of the highest standard to all ages of men, women and children. Our Thai Boxing & Jiu Jitsu classes will help to improve your current fitness levels and build your confidence. This, coupled with learning martial arts in a safe and friendly environment makes the gym one of the best in the Telford & Shropshire area.
Our students come for many reasons from training for recreation and weight loss, to both men and women wishing to compete at an amateur and professional level in Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), Jiu - Jitsu and Mixed Martials Arts.
Classes are a mix of technique and application. A warm up will start at a moderate pace and cover basic stretching and movement. We use limited contact in beginners classes and gradually build up levels of fitness and skill. A typical class will also consist of pad work and circuit training. Fighters classes are far more intense with emphasis on ring technique, sparring and fitness.A fighter of average ability, Steve found his calling as a coach and trainer. With Ten years of Thai Boxing behind him, including time spent training in Thailand, he has developed his own teaching style, believing in solid technique and staying true to the spirit of Muay Thai. He attributes his skills to hard work and dedication, sometimes travelling 100 mile round trips to train at the best gyms' in the country.
